CONDITIONS OF SALE.
This is a bona-fide public sale, for prompt cash settlement, and irrespon-
sible persons who are not sure whether they can pay for what they bid on,
are asked not to bid. The cataloguer has taken special pains to describe each
lot accurately. Errors will be corrected, but he reserves the sole right to de-
cide upon any claims. These are only conditions under which bids will he
received.
Coins and medals are sold at so much per PIECE, and no lot will be sep-
arated. The auctioneer will accept any bid up to 50c., then 5c up to $2.50,
when 10c. advance must be bid, up to $10.00, when no advance under 25
cents will be accepted. If there are 5 pieces in the lot and you wish to pay
$5.00 for the entire lot, then bid $1.00.
Auction sales are strictly for cash. Parties unknown to me and bidding
for the first time, must give bank or other reliable reference, or their bids
will not be executed.
Forward your bids as early as possible, as thousands of bids have to be
entered. Do not make ridiculously lovr bids, such as 10c. and 15c. on foreign
silver coins worth several times over as bullion. Write your bids plainly,
with a pen if practicable.
Where the number of pieces in a lot is not given after the description,
there is but one piece in the lot.
Be sure you hid on the lot you wish to buy.
All coins, etc., are genuine unless otherwise described.
My charge for executing bids will be 5 per cent. No charge made for
bidding except for lots actually purchased. Remit by money order or New
York draft.
Priced catalogue of this sale sent for 75 cents cash in advance.
If any further information is required as to valuation of lots, or how-
to bid, please write the cataloguer, THOMAS L. ELDER.

( THE END)
YOU WANT RESULTS.
No difference about the claims of other cataloguers — I GET
RESULTS. The best prices are what you want — these are the
things which count most. 1 have never found an unsatisfied
person who sent me an important coin or medal collection to sell
for him. The Hewitt family wrote me they were more than
pleased with the results of their sale of March 21st. I can fur-
nish letters of reference from the owners of every important
collection sold by me in the past. I can refer you to a number of
lawyers for the estates who owned the collections which were
sold by me. Such lawyers give the very best sort of testimony,
because they are business-like and are never swayed by acquaint-
anceship or sentiment. They feel their responsibility to the own-
ers of the coins, and they have to be “shown.”
My sales contain a most interesting variety of Coins, Med-
als and Paper Money. Nothing gives me more pleasure than to
see the coins actually sold.
Write me for terms. Let me catalogue your collection or
duplicates.
